I went back a few times to wait for the tram to pass again, so I could fix the image in my mind, but it never did.

Green House Long, 30" x 12 "

Oil on Canvas

Green House, Long

30" x 12"

This dilapidated green house was our view from the back deck for 9 years. It would glow in the blue dusk light. I have often painted it but never with the adjacent view on the left towards downtown. I wanted to recreate the panoramic view at dusk that so inspired me.

One of the aspects which drew me to this  scene was the lights, both distant and near. I also was drawn to the peeling paint, old wires, and general decrepitude.
